Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the admission process for Bachelor in Business Administration in Retailing (BBAR), the university said in a statement Friday. The application date for this unique earn while you learn Bachelors in Business Administration in Retailing (BBAR) program is open till August 14, 2012.
The modular program is offered under open and distance learning (ODL) mode and is open for learners within the age limit of 18 to 24 years. The modular approach comprises of compulsory courses with an internship and on the job training (OJT).
Three months internship is required in the first year. On the job training and viva-voice are parts of second and third year for all students. For admission, aspirants shall be selected on the basis of an interview at the Regional Centre.
A student who completes the first year will be allowed to exit with a diploma in retailing (DIR). Similarly, one who completes the second and third year will be allowed to exit with advanced diploma in retailing (ADIR) and BBAR in the third year of completion respectively.
Candidates will be judged on appearance, ability to communicate, attitude, mental alertness and general knowledge. The last date to submit the application form for the programme is August 14, 2012 with late fee of Rs 200.
