JEE Advanced Exam had erros in Maths and Physics Papers There has been a luck factor for those who would not be in the list of 5000 odd students out of 1.5 lakhs who would be making it to the premier IITs as experts have identified two ambiguities / errors in the questions of JEE Advanced test conducted for admission to the IITs. Model answers of the JEE Advanced test published on Tuesday show errors in two questions – one in Maths and another in Physics. The questions together are worth 6 marks and they may cost the students in terms of all India ranking and hence the career.

The first error has been identified in question number 48 of Maths paper (set I) which shows three correct answers in the options – A, C or AC. And if students who have marked these 3 answers due to the ambiguous language of the question whereas only one answer has been pointed in the model sheet, then for such students they will lose the marks for no fault of them.

The Physics paper (set II) also have similar ambiguity in the question number 3 for which two corrects answers – ABCD or BCD – have been shown. The students who have marked only one correct answer due to ambiguous direction of the question then they may lose the marks.

JEE Advanced is the second of the two tier entrance tests introduced only this year to replace IIT-JEE. The top 1.5 lakh successful candidates from JEE Main were eligible to appear in JEE Advanced. The successful candidates in JEE Advanced also have to be in top 20 percentile of their respective Boards for securing admission to the IIT.
