Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (MP) Shivraj Singh Chouhan is reported have held a meeting with Swati Mujumdar, Director, Symbiosis Open University, Tuesday in Bhopal in order to explore possibility of establishing a vocational university in the state.
“State government will extend full cooperation in establishment of vocational university in Madhya Pradesh. Symbiosis should select land for the proposed university. The state is making all out efforts to develop skilled manpower, to provide jobs to the youth, under recently launched Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojna.” the CM said.
Symbiosis has distinction of having established 17 such campuses throughout India.
Majumdar informed that Symbiosis wishes to establish a skill development-based vocational university for skill development is the need of hour.Additional chief secretary PK Dash, additional chief secretary Ajita Bajpai Pandey, secretary revenue Ajit Kesri, principal secretary to CM Manoj Shrivastava and secretary to CM, SK Mishra were also present in the meeting.
