Delhi’s Vasant Valley school has been figured top in the list of best day education institution for children by a country-wide survey conducted by Education World-C Fore(Centre For Forecasting and Research). The survey was conducted over 21 cities to name 443 India’s best known schools on 14 parameters in which over 3,000 parents, teachers, and educationists participated to contribute their opinions.
The poll was conducted in three categories day, boarding and international schools to find out the best in each category. Academic reputation and infrastructure, the quality of extra curricula and sports education, friendliness to the disabled, competence and welfare of the faculty were some of the parameters prescribed for the survey.
Valley School, Bangalore was placed second while Delhi’s another ,Shri Ram School got third rank being shared with Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. Two other schools from Delhi, DPS, R K Puram (Fifth) and Springdales, Dhaula Kuan (Seventh) are also featured in the first top 10.
Indus International School, Bangalore and Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai are the two top ranking schools in the international school category, as per the survey report.
In the boarding schools category, the Rishi Valley School, Chittoor continued with its top position while the Doon School, Dehradun was rated as the second.
Step by Step, Noida, Sulochanadev Singhania School, Thane, and Centre for Learning Bangalore, are some others ranked in the top 10.
The study shows a shifting focus towards institutions that are inclined to offer new and experimental teaching to develop a teacher friendly education. So Premchand Palety, founder-chief executive of market research agency, C Fore said that schools offer such methods have achieved popularity these days, thereby making it to the success list.
